This song was used in the videogame Bioshock Infinite (2013) which is how I first heard it. I wound up searching for covers on Youtube and now years later this showed up as recommended in my feed

My family had a good friend, Terry Garland (RIP). He used to play an annual show at the local bar between Christmas and New Years. One of his favorite artists to cover was Leadbelly. Hearing this cover reminded me of the good times I had with my Dad and 4 uncles all leaning back against the bar, right elbows on the bar, draft beer in our left hands (yes we all stood in the same pose. we're blood relatives), mesmerized by the slow smooth moans and wails of the slide guitar. I think its time for a family reunion. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
